"stepdad"......I'm very finicky about keeping my vehicles clean and polished. When we bought our Diplomat years ago, I bought one of Adco's custom covers, $1000.00. It didn't rub the paint and was very well built, but it soon became a pain to put on. It was heavier than most, but I had built a box, atop a platform at the rear of the coach, so I could just pull it out and onto the roof. We found we used our RV so often that it just became too much. I found it easier to wax the coach 3 times a year then put the cover on and take it off about 10 times a year. We live in California, so the coach is used 12 months out of the year.
So....if you're young and don't mind climbing on the roof, go for it. I'm guessing that you have to park and winterize your coach each year and during that time I would cover it for the season, but the rest of the year, leave it off.
