Just got a 12 year loan on a used 2009 MH at a credit union for 4.74%. The approval to 5 minutes in the office.

Good Sam and using Bank of the West 3.5%

Refinanced a 5.5% BofA dealer loan with Essex, Bank of the West at 4.3% for $45,000. All done on-line, except a free notary at our bank for signatures. Found Essex in a Costco magazine advertisement.

On a home equity loan Wells Fargo requested a copy of my living trust. I laughed and walked out. I wrote a check instead.

I did 100% down, 0% APR. YMMV

I was with Bank of the West and asked for a reduction of interest rate. They said NO. I was at 6.25% and my Fico is 813. I paid it off and the interest became "0". Their loss.

Don't forget your local credit union. Competitive rates and if you do a home equity loan the rates are even better.

Fulltimers and lower credit ratings get a higher rate.
We got 3.25 for 20 years but that was about 6 months ago...
