The pickup truck engine is the ISB. Started out at 5.9 liters, currently at 6.7. The 5.9's are kinda small for motorhomes.The 6.7's have been very successful in newer entry level DP's, decent power at a relatively low cost.
The ISC is 8.3 liters, HP from 300 to 420 depending on year and application. torque 1000 ft-lbs or better. Great engine.
The ISL is a stroked ISC, 8.9 liters. Most are 400hp, newer ones are up to 450. Torque is limited electronically to 1100 ft-lbs, that's all the md3000 allison can take. Another very good engine.
The 06 ambasador on your list will be very similar to my 08 knight. It's a goood coach, with adequate power. All the same bells and whistles as the more expensive endeavor and diplomat, but a slightly less expensive powertrain.
Monaco stacked the rear radiator and charge air cooler, rather than sandwiching them like most all the other manufacturers. This increases airflow, and eases cleaning, eliminates all the side/rear rad discussions except for engine access. The endeavor and diplomat are also rear radiator, and the package cools very well.
All 4 are 8 bag roadmaster chassis machines. Many consider this to be one of the best chassis in the business.
As for what to stay away from, the next tier down in monaco and HR have the rr4r 4 bags chassis. Not the best choice.
