I've had a couple of gas motorhomes and now own an 04 DP........I paid way less then what you are talking about and mine was like new with 25k miles always garage kept. To me, it's well worth the money to go diesel, even if you have to get a slightly older motor home.The air ride, less noise, handling can't be beat. Buying new, typically for what I've read and heard, you'll spend a lot of time in the shop initially correcting problems.
