Now to the OP's question. This past summer we drove our '99 Pinnacle with the Ford V10 from AZ to Olympic Peninsula and then south as far as Florence OR and back to AZ - from June 16 to Sept. 20, 3946 miles in all types of conditions - up hill, down hill, head winds, tail winds, hot temps, cold and foggy, etc.- total gasoline purchase 485.6 gallons. The math comes out to 8.13 mpg average.
