When I towed a trailer with my SUV, the mileage didn't bother me as much as the frequent fill ups. 6-8 MPG isn't a big deal with an 80 gallon fuel tank but it's a bigger problem with a 20 gallon fuel tank. I'm happy to have a 200 gallon tank now.
