My Dometic Power Awning opens unexpectedly, any ideas?

We hit the road in a couple days and would hate to have this thing try to open up on the road. Its a weather pro with a remote control. We are currently using it in Florida. We've been traveling ...

Sure you could put one of those on a power awning. The good news for the OP would be that the awning didn't open uncontrolled, the bad news is the motor and gears are all shot.
