My Dometic Power Awning opens unexpectedly, any ideas?

We hit the road in a couple days and would hate to have this thing try to open up on the road. Its a weather pro with a remote control. We are currently using it in Florida. We've been traveling ...

If you awning is installed correctly, its interlocked with the ignition. I have the same awning and the motor won't power the awning out with the key on. If the awning is already out, as soon as I turn the key, it retracks.
