Steve, I just remembered something about headers on a 460 F53. With any installation of header on a 460 F53, the shift cable and the emergency brake cable need to be insulated or a heat shield installed where the cables run close to the DS header. That is clearly addressed with Banks headers and needs to be addressed on you installation. I have a friend with a 97 F53 that has had the shifter cable replaced twice before he realized the necessity of protecting those two cables from after market header heat. The replacement shift cable is over $400.
