We were looking for a class c under 25 feet as well (Jayco escapade is now ours) and it took us well over a year to find one. Apparently that size in any brand are not readily available. Luckily this one was only about 1.5 hours away and hubby was fairly well qualified to evaluate it. We did have some things to fix (eternabond the hell out of anyplace a screw was situated at corners). $25,500 for 2005 purchased in 2012...barely used but needed all new tires (NOW). Is Jayco the best...no but we have a unit that we have used the heck out of and we love the larger tankage (hubby added some more water tankage).
Keep looking, widen your search. Look often and don't expect anyone to contact you because they won't. Maybe narrow your search to a brand?
I think the rentals get beat pretty bad but if the price is right...and the mileage is not high.
