Finished the transmission cooler install today-
I bought this Hayden #390 kit from O'Reiley Auto Parts-

It is two fittings that allow you to install the cooler without cutting the existing trans cooler lines. The top fitting screws into the stock radiator and the bottom fitting adapts the stock line to a 3/8 barb which is connected to the new cooler. The other line from the cooler goes to the radiator coolant return line point.
Here are the fittings installed and awaiting the lines to the new cooler-

In this pic the lines are connected to the barbs and secured with hose clamps. I wrapped one fitting in a split piece of hose to keep it from rubbing the other hose-

The most efficient location to mount the cooler is right in the front, attached to the air conditioning condenser. I had to remove the condenser's bolts in order to move it forward enough to insert the cooler attachment zip ties. There are rubber pads between the cooler & the condenser. Here it is attached-

The zip ties trimmed off-

and the lines attached-

Then I sprayed a light coat of satin black paint onto the cooler so that it won't be visible through the grille-

Hopefully this cooler will be large enough to keep the trans below 200F. I have to install the trans temp gauge & sensor - they are on the way.
If the cooler doesn't drop the temp enough then I will just install a second cooler in series.
