What would a wheel & tire weigh? Any reason why it couldn't be mounted on the rear bumper?
Not light. About 75 pounds for the stock tire an wheel, and a more aggressive tread can add another 25 pounds to that.
That is probably at the limit of most RV bumpers. If you could attach it to the hitch receiver, you'll have more strength. It's also possible that some coaches don't have enough rear weight capacity to stick another 75 pounds all the way at the end of the RV (I'm sure you are fine with your little 22' though).
