Years ago we had stopped for lunch and I was talking about maybe replacing the rear tire on my HD. The bartender, also a rider, overhead the conversation and said, "Replace it. If you are thinking about it it ruins the ride". He was 100% correct and the same thought process is involved here. If this gentleman's wife is uncomfortable now she will always be uncomfortable and this does not make for a good time for her.
