NC Mountain campground suggestion?

Mountain Stream RV Park in Marion NC. Beautiful place...large back ins with a stream running behind most of the sites. Big Mountains near by...Crabtree Falls is close by as well. Hopefully you can still hike that trail. I love the place. Little Switzerland is just up the mountain on the Blue Ridge Parkway...Privately owned so it will be open.

Been there twice. First, and last. They put us in the more "secluded" section. Notice I didn't say loop, because there is NO WAY OUT. Have to pull out into the road, and back down to a wide spot beside the bath house to turn around. And they don't tell you before they lead you up there. Still have a little scuff on my bumper from trying to get out of there.

fall creek falls state park in east tenessee is nice

I gotta throw my 2 cents in.
Brown Mountain Beach Resort near Lenoir, NC. You park nest to the creek. It's isolated with full hook ups. Great fly fishing. 15 miles of Wilson Creek including.

Beside Chimney Rock NC, next to Lake Lure. It is on a good size stream, actually a river. Rocky Broad River. Mountains all around. And a Water fall. You can walk to the top of Hickory Nut Falls from the parking area of The Chimney. Almost fits your requirements perfectly.

You will also love Lake Lure, and the Chimney. AND it's easy to get to.
