Need 8000 generator

Question

I need a complete 7500/8000 generator for my motorhome. I think it had an Onan 8000 quiet diesel.

My question is, are there any other options or brands that work well?

I had found some cleaned up ones for $6,00 to $6,500 but for that price just as soon by a new one but those are running around $10,000 with shipping and everything. Saw a few used ones for $3,000 but they went real quick.

Anyone know where a good used one is at reasonable price?

I saw one at Arizona RV Salvage the other day when I was there for another part. Don't know what they want for it but it's worth a call IMO. Close enough to you to get a UHaul trailer and pick it up if it's cheap enough....Good luck Dennis

Yes, I do prefer to replace it with same as it had in there originally if possible. But would consider other options if needed.
