I certainly understand your position, motivations, and to an extent; outrage.

But I can tell you as a seasoned traveler, and being on the earth awhile, attempts to rip us off occur frequently, everyday. Some are more outrageous then others. This is nothing new and don't take it personal.

I am glad I have a background in auto repair, auto parts and a brother in law that is a heavy duty diesel mechanic. It has saved me more than once.

In your case you got a second and third opinion and that is smart.

Well, everyone needs a generator unless you were using "special needs" to jump to the head of the line. I am not saying you were, but some people would. Again, I don't think it has any real relevance. It obvious that they didn't care by making you wait a week.

Whenever it does not sound "right" or what happened to you; RUN and run fast. A second or third opinion is the best defense you have.
