I always fill my gas tank to the brim when storing for winter - been told that helps prevent condensation in tank. I also like the idea that I have full tank if I have to use the rig as "life raft" in the event of emergency. Some use fuel stabilizers in our rigs - some don't. I use in my small engines but stopped using them in RV years ago.
A significant number of generator problems posted on this forum are related to carb issues created by lack of use ... so I exercise mine monthly. I think Onan currently recommends two hours exercise - up from the one hour they used to recommend.
