Need quick answer to a dumb jack question

Hmm... We were told to always start the engine and then hit the store button. I wonder if we let it air up a bit first, if that's better? When we store, the jacks seem to drop suddenly because the airbags haven't inflated yet...

So,,, setting up the "level" button automatically dumps the airbags.
But when we getting ready to leave... should we wait until there's a bit of air pressure before hitting "store?"
