You can purchase bus cable chains for your MH. Have you ever used chains before? Assuming you lived in Socal and driven on snow and ice very little. I think you will be overwhelmed. Fortunately most major storms come after the first of the year. However, the mountain passes are dangerous for drivers that are experienced. Large MHs, like busses, don't pull out of skids very well. Take your car and stay in a motel. I learned how to drive on snow and ice. I moved to Socal. They can't even drive on wet pavement in small vehicles. Snow and ice is more dangerous, especially in large RVs. How long an RV can remain on leveling jacks is the least of your worries. How to retract a jack from frozen ground would have been a better question. Don't risk your life on this trip with so little experience. JMHO.
