- pnicholsExplorer IIRobert,
Those big, tall, high ground clearance AWD RV's in your photos all meet my definition of at least what an "expedition vehicle" looks like. However ... they must have their coaches isolated ... as one requirement for an EV. What's you definition?
Earthroamer is still producing vehicles ... the original owners were bought out. Check their website - where they talk about 2015 models.
Most Tiger vehicles (but not all) are far from expedition class RVs. However, certain of their models do have triangle 3-point isolation of the coach to eliminate off-road torsion forces. These same Tiger models have other EV design features, too. - RobertRyanExplorer

I wonder how many of those Aussie expedition-type RVs advertise using triangle 3-point, or diamond 4-point, attachment of the coach structure to the vehicle's frame?
Many varied methods. All Terrain and EarthCruiser are sold in the US, only Expedition vehicle I have heard of with a poor reputation is EarthRoamer at one stage went Bankrupt - RobertRyanExplorer

$81,000 USD? Wow. You can't find anything here in the US even near that for even a quarter million dollars.
Hmmmm .... where On Earth did you see that price??!! The word "impossible" comes to mind .... even in Aussie-Land.
If true, how much to ship a new one to the U.S. - assuming a whole bunch in that one could keep it maintained and serviced here?
(P.S. Can I buy an Earthroamer there on a Ford chassis for, say, $110,000 and then have it shipped here for use? :B )
Forget about the price, I wonder if Eathroamer is still around? Not the best reputation..I think Provan is the pick of US Producers - pnicholsExplorer III wonder how many of those Aussie expedition-type RVs advertise using triangle 3-point, or diamond 4-point, attachment of the coach structure to the vehicle's frame?

- lfcjaspExplorerThat unit is really beautiful...inside:) But it does look tough on the outside. That rear covered porch is nice. Thanks for sharing, RobertRyan!

Well for my tastes and more down-to-earth budgets, every since I was a young man I've wanted one of these for extreme offroad boondocking in the U.S. and Canada ... and a lot less money and way more maintainable than those full-on expedition vehicles ... but still able to go anywhere they can go:

To small for our needs....yes they are good off road rides BUT Two Adults, three cats, one dog, rainy day....no for us....
Agree. That's what Sportsmobile built them for
