We have a 2008 3500 series sprinter navion and have had no coding issues since we bought it at 30000 miles. It now has 48000 and still no codes and I have not have had to bring it in for servicing. I do all the maintenance myself, filters, oil, etc. We did go into limp mode once after fill up in California, but was fine after shutting off the engine for a few minutes and starting up again. So far we are happy with this RV.
If we had to buy new, I would pay the upgrade price for the six cylinder. Darn the MPG, full speed ahead....
