Yup, the fan bearing along with the alternator and A/C compressor all need to be checked.
If the fan bearing is bad, Caterpillar has both greasable and sealed replacements available. Best is greasable IF YOU WILL GREASE IT. If not, the sealed bearings are better than the greasable that you do not grease.
