New E450 with tow/haul question
My old Winnebago E350 4R100 had overdrive and I would turn it off when climbing a steep grade or go down a long grade for braking. What's the difference with the Tow/Haul on the 5 speed. Same usage?...

I'm a convert. I only used my t/h while in the mountains to assist with descents. Hated the shift points and assumed it affected mileage negatively. Then I had occasion to ride in an F450 tow truck and really liked the way it assisted with the braking, and decided to give it a second try on the flatlands. No appreciable change in mileage. No appreciable change in tranny temp either, but I do love the assist in braking. Now, if I'm towing, my T/H is on. Guess an old dog can learn a new trick.
