Hi KH
You indicate you have done a lot of research and are looking at 170 or 190 Roadtrek. As noted by others, even though you may spend 75% of yor time in your B unit, these B units are space-confined and therefore the layout is vital to your specific needs. For me, I needed a standup bathroom with shower and not one in the hallway. SO I have a 2006 Pleasure-way Plateau(2007 build) with one of the largest full bathrooms--I am 6ft 2 ins. It is essential to have the full service history of the unit you choose--especially if is not from a reputable dealer. As noted by others, a generator is a consideration and is useful if you are not locating at full service RV parks ie state/provincial parks. Most people have preferences for B MHs but the main ones ie ROadtrek,Pleasureway,GW Vans and Leisure Travel vans are all good ones and have their individual nice features.
The flexiblity of a B MH is worth a lot.You can always bring along a gazebo for extra space or have a zip in for your awning which, presumably, you would have. I have a 34 cu ft Gearspace unit which hooks into my 2 inch receiver hitch and carries all my toys because these B class units dont have a lot of space.
Weloome to the B World and happy rving.,
AL at large on Vancouver Island.
Hi Al,
Thanks for your input.
Can I ask what a 'B MH' is?
I'll check out the Plateau.
