New here with 2019 Melbourne Prestige 24LP

Hello Everyone:

Hope I am posting this to the right forum. We are excited with our new purchase but now wanting to find info/tips/tricks/mods about this versatile unit.

Here are some things we would love feedback from:
1. Queen bed - the bed folds so wonder what people use for beddding, sheets, topper, etc.
2. Limited storage - where do you keep your things like bbq, lawn chairs for outside and silverware, broom, cleaning supplies, etc for inside. The cabinet under the kitchen sink is large but no shelving which is what I will most likely create.
3. We love the overhead bed with panoramic window but wondered why the engineers didn't make an opening side window... thinking it could get very hot up there.
4. Any websites relating speifically to this unit in general would be useful as well or must have as an RVer.

Thanks in advance.

Ray and Carmen
  • Welcome and congrats on your new rv.
Storage will be an issue, its a small rv.

I use a rear ladder bike rack to haul chairs.

I bought an “Esbit Portable Folding Charcoal BBQ Grill with Carrying Bag”
Amazon has it for $106.00. Its stainless and folds up to the size of a book.
It uses charcoal or wood equally well for bbq’ing. Using wood requires more attention , needs to be cut small and fed while cooking. Charcoal, you light it and leave it.
  • Ray,
Don't be feeling like a Lone Ranger.
We have an antique 23'Class A and we have enough room for a weeks food and some socks.....
I suggest that you look in and under everything and you may find some nooks that you can take advantage of, we did, and then the challenge is remembering where the spare tuna fish can is tucked.
