I'm not a fan of Yahoo, either, particularly after the lash-up that they've created on the message boards, but you may well find that you will have to list your contact information, including a phone number, with any of the 'RV classified' sites you choose to advertise that new LD with.
And, JMHO, but putting your new rig on a consignment lot is the *worst* way to sell it, primarily because you'll take a big financial hit by doing it this way!
What is your objection to having your phone number with Yahoo? Do you think it will compromise your 'privacy' or encourage more telemarketing calls or emails? I have not found that giving Yahoo (or Amazon, or any number of other 'reputable' sites) a phone number makes one whit of difference to anything, but YMMV.
The LD message board is a great resource for any and all things Lazy Daze, and many buyers and sellers have found their 'dream rig' in the 'Buying and Selling' files. Up to you, certainly.
Sorry you can't use your new rig; good luck.
Thank you very much JT for your reply and suggestions. I think you are correct about taking a huge hit financially by putting it up for consignment but that would be a last resort for me.
Yes, you do have to list your contact information when posting items for sale or for purchasing. That number is not publicly visible. You are the one who controls to whom it is given. Yahoo, on the other hand, is another story. You don't have to give it to hotmail, live mail, gmail. Yahoo does not need to have my phone number for me to join a forum.
Most probably I will put it on the sale lot at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ and advertise it myself.
