A lot of problems with repairs are the time it takes manufacture to ship replacement parts out to the repair shops along with shop receiving damage replacement parts. Parts manufactures have priority system where items go to the production lines first, warranty second and repairs shops last. Special order items can take weeks especially if it's a panel or door has to be made up.
I still think manufacture quality control is very poor to say the least with an attitude that they don't care just ship it to the dealers and let them fix it!! I would like to see it were the dealers do a pre-delivery inspection and if the rigs has obvious defects it's return to the manufacture at there cost!! I have seen a lot of rigs dealers have that have so many manufacture defects you have to wonder why they are trying to sell them and then again the manufacture will not pay warranty work until after the sale!!
you might not want to paint all the manufacturers with the same brush but, as others have said motorhomes are very costly for what they are as are cars, they have no resale, you can not add on to them, you can't pull your car into their garage, you will never make money off of them. They should be as good of quality as a well made car. I have 10 year old cars that have had less problems, actually none except normal wear and tear and yet I read on this forum as well as others how many people are returning to the dealership for warranty issues.
