The whole point of buying new is to get a unit that you know hasn't been beat on by other people. If you're looking to save money and are ok with someone else having used your RV, just buy used one and don't rent it out. You'll probably break even money-wise, and at least that way you can evaluate all the wear and tear from 'other people' up front.
