Until you get some seat time, I'd simply stay on the 405N to I-5N to 99N to 80E. That way you'll get a real feel for the new coach. The G****vine will let you see how it will perform on a long grade. Bakersfield RV Resort is a nice stopping place with a pool etc. There's a Camping World within walking distance in case you need anything.
If you're feeling adventurous, take Ca88E outside Stockton and stop in Jackson. The Jackson Rancheria RV Resort is just that - a resort and is a beautiful stop. You can then continue Ca 88 to Carson City and come in from the south. Otherwise just continue north on Ca99 to I-80....
Good luck...remember to post your adventure here when you get home...:)....Dennis
I wonder, why is everyone sending him thru L.A., Worst traffic in the country? 395? if he has problems who is going to help? BY going thru Las Vegas, first part of the trip is shakedown mode, any problems, lots of help. 95 north to 80, no traffic can drive at his own pace. I have made this trip many times. Just my opinion.
Terry.
