While that is true in some cases the UltraLeather brand is very durable and lasts a long time. Some RV manufacturers have used an inferior knock off that is **** and cracks and delaminates in a few years - sometimes only a couple of years.
True UltraLeather is expensive. As I recall we spent more than $50 per yard for it when we recovered all of the furniture in our motor home. We were fulltimers and when we sold it 6 years later it was as good as new.
