First I think GeoBoy made a typo. I am pretty certain he meant a Ford E450 chassis.
I concur with everything else he said. I have a female friend who recently bought a Class C on a Sprinter chassis. A minor incident and the unit had to be towed a long distance to a registered dealer and the parts took 2-3 weeks to arrive.
Look for something 2-4 years old. It should sell for roughly 50% of list price or less ! Unless it is very low mileage, assume you will need normal maintenance items like tires, brakes, shocks. That can quickly be over $1000-$1500 !
