wolfe10ExplorerFeb 28, 2015Skip,Bottom line-- you met a tire dealer who failed high school chemistry!The Ideal Gas Law tops all advertising claims.However, there are actually THREE types of gasses that are used in tires:1. Nitrogen.2. DRY air (like with a good compressor and quality air dryer)3."Regular" air with moisture (like in those coin op air compressors)1 and 2 behave very similarly. Since water is NOT an ideal gas, "regular" air does have more PSI change with temperature change.
