No Power To Fuel Pump.

Yes, I can do that, but my primary issue is-- Why am I not getting 12 Volts to the pump Connector at the tank.

Use a long piece of wire and apply 12 volts DC to the pump as close to it as you can get. Should be gray wire going to pump.
Could be bad new pump! Make and model of pump? Who installed it?
Black at relay should be ground. Red goes to the fuel pump prime.(?) Not sure what fuel pump prime does or what device it is. My wiring diagram doesn't show it.

Still Puzzled, Fuel pump still not working. Here is what I have done.
1. Replaced fuel pump relay,oil pressure switch and the"Chassis Disc." and "Ignition' relays in the front electric box. Still would not start.
2. Found that there was 12V to the pump relay term. "D", ORANGE WIRE, ALL THE TIME. 12v TO TERM. "F" , Red wire on the relay , when Ing. was turned on. After turning on the Ing. Sw., the relay would "click" after about 3 1/2 seconds.
Orange wire on he oil pressure sw. connector had 12V all the time. "Green" wire of the connector had 12V with the Ing. sw. turned on. It would shut off after about 10 seconds. "Red" wire on connector is "Ground".
3. Inspected all wiring at the base of the steering column. No problems or fuses found.
4. Inspected again, the "ECM/BAT." and the "ECM/CRANK" fuses. ( Visual and ohm meter.) Both ok.
5. I am at ropes end on this problem. Any suggestions.??

It is not the relay in that case. Relay only is used for priming fuel system.
Check the connector on the relay and the oil pressure sending unit.
Check the connector for the ignition switch at base of steering column.
Recheck the fuse marked ECM/BAT.
Orange wire to the relay jumpers from relay to oil pressure sending unit. It should have 12 volts in start and run position of ignition switch.

No, the engine would not continue to run after burning up the starter fluid.

You did not respond to whether the engine continues to run after using starting fluid to fire I up.
The eight volts could be the return to the fuel gauge. That could be the value for a little above half a tank of fuel.

RV is a 1972 Bounder, P30 chassis, GM, 454 eng, w/throttle body.
Yes, I had a good ground, but don't understand the 8 volts. I understand the the three wires of the connector are as follows; largest is the 12 volt center red/pink is the fuel gauge sender and #3 is ground. I DID FIND THE PUMP RELAY TODAY AND WILL PURCHASE A NEW ONE AND HOPE THAT CORRECTS THE PROBLEM.

I recently had much the same situation. It was the new fuel pump in the tank that was less than two weeks old but I had 12V on the larger of the three wires. The small two wires are for the fuel gauge.
When you find the fuel pump relay, you can swap it for one just like it and next to it. Did you have a good ground when you got 8V?

Ford has a crash switch at the bottom of the steering column.
