When I was on the market early this year, I thought the values were better in TX than in Fl...YMMV. Since you want to domicile inTX, maybe look at TX offerings on line. You may decide to look in TX first...and then you get your TX licence etc.
We have been full time in a 33 foot class a for 6 months now. We are enjoying it. Many people full time Motorhomes. Many select 5ers. Some select TT. Make your pick and be happy.
We had a cat with us in the past. She was a good traveler. She seemed to enjoy watching people, dogs and birds from the rv. The passers by would often smile and point at her as she surveyed them haughtily from the dash. More rver's have dogs than cats. If yours is a good traveler, perhaps bring her along on the adventure.
