Norcold Fridge Door Reinforcement Brackets Installed

With all the past discussions over Norcold fridge doors breaking, I thought I would be proactive and buy two complete reinforcement sets and install them on my fridge and freezer doors. I bought them...

The reason for the hinge failures is the heavy wood inserts. Those with a lighter sheet of ply did not experience this problem. In over 5 million miles on my small rental fleet, I never had a Norcold hinge fail. We have since switched to Dometic fridges.

Gotsmart, you actually do have a thin wood insert in each of your doors.
