not getting fuel to carb on Onan generator

I took a 2 hr. break, came back and put my tools away. I was getting ready to close compartment door, and I thought I'd hit start switch one more time...
and starter engaged and she cranked and cranked to the point of fuel coming out of bottom of air cleaner, but it didn't hit. So now, no fire to new plugs I suppose. Closed door and went to beer fridge. I am waving white flag for the day. I got steaks to cook.
