When we retired, we went from a 25 foot trailer to a motorhome. Several reasons:
My joints no longer want to go through the set up and take down of a trailer.
We like to take it slow and stop often to see the sights, much easier in a motorhome.
Safety... If we need to use a rest stop, it's nice, and we feel safer, if we don't need to get out (especially if it's a "dark and stormy night").
And, it's just such a darn comfortable way to travel.
Oh, and we only got about 9 miles to the gallon in the F150 pulling the trailer... the last trip to Florida in the motorhome, we got 11.1 MPG. The V10 coupled with the new 6 speed transmission is awesome!
