I placed an ice cube on the sensor and sure enough, there was no response at the thermostat. So, yes the sensor is not working. I'm just surprised that the thermostat unit itself reacts in any way, but of course, I'm not sure of the electronics in these things. Thanks for the help. I'll call Tiffin for a replacement.
