Oh man, got lucky today. And rock guards serve a purpose

Looking away from the road for "4-seconds" is an eternity at highway speeds. It's fortunate all was fine except for the guard. As far as if you were to have seen the 4"X4"X2' in time to swerve? That could have been a catastrophe. Hitting a tree, culvert, overturning, what have you. Sometime better to grip the wheel and hold on driving flat over most any object smaller than your unit. Leaving the road at highway speeds would be certain pain/or/suffering in most cases.
