That's how I did it when we had an F53. Why would you wait 2 yrs to change oil ?

I cut open a gallon plastic jug (I think it had windshield washer fluid) and use it as a funnel between my oil pan and the drain plug. Cost me nothing.

I had to comeback and maybe answer the original post,after the oil is drained using something like this.

It is a liquid detergent bottle split length ways. Oil goes into it while laying on cross member and exits thru the orange tip into the drain pan, no mess. Then install the Fumoto drain plug as I linked in the previous post,from then on no more messes.

An oil change every couple of years goes against "my" grain but if removing the drain plug does not allow a clear drop to an oil pan or similar then the Fumoto plug is awesome. My generator has that problem and it was solved with the Fumoto.

Id be more worried about an oil change every few years more than a mess on the frame.

Fumoto works well.
