The MAXIMUM mark is as full as you can fill it until it starts to run out the center hole after the rubber plug is removed. In other words, if you remove the rubber plug in the center, you cannot over fill the hub.
Do not do this, it will over fill the seal on the inside of the hub, when it does, it ruins the brake lining of that wheel.
oily brake = not good.
Running near the min mark isn't that bad. but remember add only 2 oz at a time, it shows up at the window first then it must flow thru the bearing and settle out before you get a correct reading. I do mine first thing in the morning.
