On the Cheap in Florida

Hello Everyone: We have always spent our winters in Arizona and California but this winter we will be going to Florida. Unfortunately, we are on a very tight budget this coming winter (Nov. to April) and was wondering if anyone had suggestions of RV parks, county parks, fairgrounds with rv camping on the cheap :)

Thanks, Vikki

  • AS said above try volunteering. Tonto national forest in Arizona is always short of volunteers specially in winter. You are CANADIAN so I do not know if you can volunteer. But 20-30 hours per week will get you a site with Water, Electric and sewer.

  • Is Florida a requirement? Lot of COE campgrounds in the south need volunteers, and will exchange a full-hookup campsite for a few hours work. Mid-Alabama comes to mind.
  • M RV Resort might suit your needs. We have spent some time there over the years. Good mixture of US and Canadians.
