Sorry to read about your injury on a motorcycle. I rode for over thirty years and I guess I got lucky and never had any serious injuries and I still love motorcycles even though I do not ride them anymore.
Now about the knee replacement. Some are very painful and some say they are not. I guess it all depends on complications and other things that come up. My sister claimed it was the most painful thing she had ever done, yet my mother in law had both knees replaces and she never had much pain on the recovery.
