onan gen. fuel filter

I changed my Onan 7500 diesel fuel filter today and now I have a very small drip.
There are two lines, a small one and one larger hooked up...the larger line is dripping.

I tightened it very tight but stll have a very very tiny drip when running.....

what would the best way to get it stopped...afraid to tighten more.....???
  • The threads are not the sealing point. I hope you are using line wrenches.
I agree; loosen and retighten. If it won't stop, get a new filter.
  • I know it'll be a pain in the buttock, but I'd start by taking the leaking line off to re-seat it. While off look for any lateral splits in the line especially under clamp.
