I had a rodent problem in my previous MOHO that damaged the rotor. I was doing the repair myself and Onan wanted $1800 just for the part. I found a shop that repaired the damage windings and applied a new (and better) conformal coating for $140. Some shops may not be interested in removing the genset from the rig, so if you are not up for doing that yourself perhaps you can work a deal with your normal service center for just the removal/reinstallation.
