Onan RV QG 4000 #4KYFA26100P

Question

Hi there, thanks for all your help in advance. I'm the camping grandma with a new Coachman Freelander. Can anyone tell me if my Onan RV QG 4000 4KYFA26100P generator has an oil filter. My son-in-law changed the oil and said it did not have an oil filter and I have seen by searching that some do/some don't. Can anyone tell me for sure. Thanks!

Thanks so much! I have that manual but didn't know how to figure out for sure if my generator didn't have an oil filter

It's an air-cooled, splash-lubed single-cylinder 3600-RPM engine. That adds up to "about like a rotary lawnmower." Splash means no oil pump and that means no oil filter. Keep good oil in it, check it often, change it often, and you'll be fine.
