am excited that you ordered a new rig. Think we are spoiled by the short RV but on the other hand 28 is not that much longer for the luxury of separate spaces. I look at the bigger ones and feel there is a lot of compromise in newer models. On the other hand, as the machine ages more and more will crop up for maintenance and when you are working on it more than using it, time to look for something else. You will love having a new rig, getting used to it and taking it far and wide while you can rely on the warranty and the newness of everything. Good luck and have fun.
Getting a new MH was a hard decision to make. The DW wanted me off the cabover at night and I wanted to get a new one before major things go wrong. I really put a lot of effort into maintaining our Minnie. Really upset when the decals started to go. Even after I replaced many, it bothers me. The Red Max Pro has made a big difference in her shine and I don't wax her anymore.
It's been difficult trying to find a new MH that will fit into our driveway, have the dinette on the passenger side and a sofa on the drivers like you and I have. The Forester 2701 is the closest we found. Dinette is on the driver's side and the sofa on the passenger's side. The DW said she can live with that. I wanted the E-450 with 55 gallons of fuel, at least 50 gallons of water and large black and grey water tanks. And the DW insisted that it have levelers, I agreed. The new one will have 2 slide-outs for queen bed and dinette. 12volt TV with DVD, side and rear cameras, 2 group 27 batteries and Intellipower 60 amp 4 stage converter charger, black tank flush hookup, gravity fill water, enclosed tanks and sewer valves. And more. Our Minnie has served us well and it's going to be hard to see her go.
Getting back to the topic, the new one surely won't turn like the Minnie.
