We are looking at moving to a class C but, I hope we can find one with big enough black and grey tanks.
To us ... big tanks became a big deal after we had already purchased our 24 foot slideless Class C new years ago. After having it for awhile, we discovered that we wanted the flexibility to camp in small intimate campgrounds ... or drycamp out in the middle of nowhere.
We lucked out a bit on tank sizes, as follows:
- Our fresh water on board is 45 gallons, 39 in the tank and 6 in the water heater.
- Our grey water tank is 29 gallons.
- Our black water tank is 39 gallons.
- Our propane tank is 18 gallons.
- We don't drink out of the fresh water tank, thus helping to extend it's effective capacity.
- We can use valves ... or buckets-into-the-toilet ... to off-load grey water into the black tank for extending our drycamping time, since the grey tank usually fills up faster than the black tank.
