We full-timed for 8 years in our Dutch Star and we bought it the way 'WE' wanted it outfitted. It sold within a month so yes, there is a market for motorhomes without all the gadgets that can go wrong or that you won't use.
It just depends how you will use it. We dry camped a lot and used public parks and rarely used private RV parks. Therefore, we did not want a washer/dryer, central vac, dishwasher, freezer, exterior entertainment center, satellite dish. We never missed having them. All those things take up extra space and if you won't be using them why do that? Believe me, a Dutch Star will always sell no matter what you have in it.
All electric wasn't offered back in 2004 when we got ours and power shades or power awnings weren't 'in style'. Not having those didn't matter... just more things to go wrong.
Bottom line... don't buy for resale... buy for yourself!
