I have lived in Oregon my entire life . They are all two lane roads .. No freeways to the coast ! Wide two lane roads , with towns and curves, yes .. But No scary switch backs or anything like that. Speed limit is mostly 55 mph with a few slow corners . I have taken those roads in a 41ft motorhome towing a 25ft car hauler with no white knuckle driving. If your really new at this just take your time and use the pull outs to let faster traffic pass ( Oregon law). Enjoy your trip , fantastic scenery .
101 itself is a wide two lane that is in no way scary like hwy 1 in California. There are many pullouts mostly on the southbound ( ocean) side so touring the coast is best done north to south so you can pull in and out without crossing traffic.
